can i use GeomConvert_ApproxSurface to approximate a BSpline?

i would like to know if i can use GeomConvert_ApproxSurface to approximate a BSpline.

I have a very large model with different kind of surfaces. and i want all of them as Bsplone 2nd degree (u/v) surface

I have tried and it works. However the outer bound of the surface are not mantained.
