calling newbies for their inputs

Hi There, I am not sure how many of you are trying to lean OCC on their own. I for one, trying to do even though it is a daunting task. I am started with the examples given with source code, then started extended it from there. But I found that even with documentation that is available, it is not easy to understand and learn. So Just wanted to ask you guys who are new and trying to learn OCC, are you guys taking e-learning course offered by OpenCASCADE org? if not please show me the way...I really appreciate your inputs. I also welcome someone's help in terms of communicate with in case I am stuck.

Thanks,
Venu

The Technical Documentation, the sample programs, the Library Reference, lots of trial & error, the forums, the Test Harness, checking the source code and, lately, Roman's blog are the things I used (and still use) to learn how to do things with OpenCASCADE.

Be ready for a very long learning process.

If you get stuck, searching the forums for your specific problem is the first step. Chances are someone has already had the same issues. Do also be prepared to find lots of unanswered questions. If you cannot find the answer, you can ask... and wait. While you wait, try to find a way to solve it yourself also. It is never guaranteed you will receive an answer.

Thanks paul. Right now, I am learning the hard way, I guess that's what everyone does. I just want to reassure myself that I am on the right track. Thanks for taking time to reply though. Appreciate it.
