Can any one else read the PDF files in the docs ?

I can't, I have tried with Acrobat 3.01 and 4.0, I even tried with Aladdin GhostView 3.3 and this cannot read them either, and I have the same problem with the PDF files in the online docmentation.

There must be something wrong with the pdf files ?

Hi, I can use Arcobat Reader 4.0 to open *.PDF files in the online documentation. I don't know what problems you have. Anyway, tired install again.

Hi !

I do not have any problem to open them, but as an example:

When I open fcug.pdf and browse down to page 21 I get an error message that it cannot extract the embedded font "COAOLC+Lucida.console083" and then after that all source code example snippets show up as "........."

Can you look at page 21 in fcug.pdf without problems.

I did uninstall Acrobat 4 and installed anew fresh one and I still have the same problem.

I have tried everything now, I even called a friend and asked him to download fcug.pdf from the online help, and he got the same problem.

On page 21 it screams about the font and the all the sample code shows up as '.......'

I have tried Acrobat 3 and 4, I have tried gsview 3.3 and I even tried to convert it to text with pdftotext.exe, but they all fail on page 21.

There must be someone else that has the same problem because my friend had the same problem with a fresh Acrobat reader downloaded today from Adobe.

The pdftotext complains that the pdf file is damaged (something with incorrect xref).

Sorry, I do not understand why it works for you.
