Extrude a rectangle along a spline on surface

Hi,

I need a little remark where/what I have to search. I would like to extrude a rectangle along a spline. The extruded rectangle should stand orthographic on the surface and orthographic to the spline. Does somebody understand what I want to do? Does somebody know how I can do this?
