Is it possible to select just visible faces (facing to the user) by means of rectangular selection?

Rubberbanding Rectangular Selection? It seems one need to know the underlying mechanism of AIS such as Sensitive Primitives, and many packages such as SelectMgr, SortAlgo etc.
