Dear Sandy,
I suggest you to read "OCAF User's Guide" (occt_ocaf.pdf) available with public release. See for details chapters "2.3. The document and the data framework" & "3.2. The Tag" & "3.3. The Label". It will give idea of the basic concept and examples how create/retrieve elements of "OCAF tree".
