We are pleased to announce the release of Added Value Components compatible with Open CASCADE Technology 7.9.0. This update delivers more then 100 enhancements and fixes since the previous release.

What's New in Version 7.9.0

New Components

  • USD Exchange: New import/export component supporting:

    • Mesh data and primitives
    • Structure and transformations
    • UV nodes, names, colors, metadata
    • Animation data exchange

  • Mesh Decimal: New mesh reduction and optimization utilities:

Data Exchange Improvements

  • DXF/ACIS/RVM:

    • Updated unit scaling to consider system units
    • Improved parameters handling
    • Reorganize dependencies with TBB usage
    • Performance optimization

  • PARASOLID Import:

    • Added new schemes (sch_35001, sch_35002, sch_35102, sch_36001)
    • Fixed arithmetic exceptions

  • IFC Import:

    • Added support of materials

  • DE Wrapper:

    • Extended all component to follow the DE_ style

    • Added support for .NET Core
    • Enable builds on Linux
    • Extended wrapped classes (DE, DECascade, DEGLTF, DEOBJ, DEPLY, GCPnts)
    • Extended wrappings of the STEP and V3d toolkits
    • Improved wrapping of Aspect and Image classes

  • Express Mesh:

    • Resolved issues with corrupted models
    • Enhanced winding number approach for classification
    • Improved handling of thin loops and zero-length links
    • Fixed cases with disconnected areas in results
    • Optimized facet building process

  • Canonical Recognition:

    • Fixed SIGSEGV issues
    • Added optional ShapeBuild_ReShape parameter to retrieve exact modification history

  • Collision Detection:

    • Fixed unreliable detection with bounding box trees
    • Improved intersection testing reliability
    • Condition in FixCoincEdg() function created.

  • Mesh Tools:

    • Added API to enable/disable collapses of non-adjacent vertex pairs

  • CAM library

    • Performance optimization
