Position of a TopoDS_Shape

Hello to all,

how can one change the default position of a TopoDS_Shape, without performing some translational transformations on the shape ?

And how to receive/get the topical position of such a shape ?

Any hints are very welcome !

If you mean that you don't want to set a transformation matrix (location) on the shape, you can use BRepBuilderAPI_GTransform to translate the underlying curves and surfaces (note that there are some issues if scale factors and rotations are applied).

To gain access to the shape without any transformation matrix, try:
TopoDS_Shape myBaseShape = myShape.Located(TopLoc_Location());

If you want the position/bounds of this shape, you might consider looking at Bnd_Box and BRepBndLib.
