Slice Model in Z Dimension or generate Point Cloud

Hi!

I would like to achieve the following:

1. Read a STEP-File(already working)
2. Slice the Model in Z Dimension in 0.5mm parts and get several "2D Layouts"

How could I achieve that?

How could I e.g generate a Point Cloud or are there better options to achieve my goal?
