Hello everybody,
I'm currently facing a critical issue with a simple step file in ap 242 file format, created in SolidWorks. The program crashes without any helpful error description when I try to mesh it with BRepMesh_IncrementalMesh. This problem persists with other software built on top of occt, like FreeCad or AnalysisSitus (the whole computer crashes as well importing this step file). Other software like Fusion360 reads it perfectly. Also, the NIST STEP-File-Analyzer has problems meshing it, but no geometric syntax errors were found.
Do you have any idea why this is happening? Or do you have any thoughts about the AP242 standard since AP 214 and 203 work like a charm?
Thank you for any help.
Arthur

AP242 must to work without crash. We support a part of features of AP242, but it should not depends on the geometry.
It looks like a bug, please create a new ticket in My View - MantisBT (opencascade.org) or Releases · Open-Cascade-SAS/OCCT (github.com) (GitHub issues for now on beta testing)
* NIST STEP-File-Analyzer based on OCCT :)
Best regards, Dmitrii.
