OCCT on Android (preferably using android-studio)

yoelk's picture

I tried running the following 2 examples of OCCT for Android:

1. http://www.opencascade.com/doc/occt-7.0.0/overview/html/samples_java_and...

2. https://www.opencascade.com/doc/occt-7.0.0/overview/html/samples_qml_and...

Unfortunately these guides weren't easy to understand and follow (even though located in the "getting started" section) and unfortunately I couldn't run them on an Android emulator. In addition they use relatively "old" tools (i.e eclipse+adt)

I have 2 questions:

1. Does anyone have made projects that I can use after minor modifications (preferably projects for Android Studio) that demonstrate rendering a 3d shape / step file in Android?

2. Has anyone tried running the project posted in the bottom of this thread - http://stackoverflow.com/questions/38349139/opencascade-android-studio ?
It should be an Android Studio version for the Android jni viewer, but unfortunately I got an error while running it (build was fine).

Thanks in advance for all the help!
Yoel

Re: OCCT on Android

Hello Yoel,

first of all, this forum is for development of OCCT itself, not for questions related to using it. So you will unlikely receive replies from other OCCT users here. User forum is located here:

Concerning, Android Studio, we have experience for building OCCT-based projects using it, but JNI sample in OCCT is not yet updated for it. You are welcome to our support services if you are interested in finding solution.
